1. Can I subscribe for more than one-month at a time?
When signing up for your Plus account you can buy a monthly subscription ($9), quarterly subscription ($22) or a yearly recurring or opt-in renew subscription ($78).
2. What payment options are available for Plus membership?
Payments are handled through PayPal. You can use your PayPal account to pay for Plus via your PayPal balance, credit card or your bank account (eCheque).
3. I’m having problems accessing my Plus downloads. What should I do?
Please contact Support and notify them of your issue. You’ll receive a solution within two business days.
4. Can I buy someone a gift subscription?
Sure. Contact us via this form to organize this with a staff member.
5. Do I have to subscribe for more than one month?
No. You can cancel your subscription at any time via the PayPal control panel (See item #7 for instructions).
6. What do Plus members get?
Access to a back-catalog of tutorial source files for every Plus site, three exclusive tutorials from industry leaders each month and a monthly pack of useful resources. You also feel warm and fuzzy inside, and help us create more awesome sites for you!
7. I’m short of money and need to unsubscribe for now. How can I do this?
We understand. Here’s how to do it:
- Log into PayPal
- Click the “History” tab
- Select “Subscriptions” from the “Show” drop-down menu (under the “Search” heading)
- Select a timeframe that includes the first payment date for your Plus subscription
- Press “Search”
- You should see an entry called “Subscription Creation” with the name of your Plus subscription in the “Name/Email” column. There will be a link in the “Status” column that tells you the status of the subscription. If it says “Active”, click it.
- Click the button that says “Cancel Subscription”
8. How can I claim my 100% money-back guarantee?
Not satisfied with your Plus Membership? We’ll give you your money back, here’s what you need to do:
- Cancel Your Subscription
- Get your PayPal receipt number, your PayPal email address and the date of purchase;
- Send a Support Ticket including this information as well as your member name, full name and postal address to our Support Desk
- Include one way we can improve the Tuts+ service
And we’ll issue a 100% refund within 7 working days of receipt of your request.
Note that this guarantee only applies in the first month of your subscription. Once the first month passes we cannot refund your money any longer.
9. Why do you need to charge?
Each Tuts+ site costs thousands of dollars each month to run: more than could possibly be covered by advertising alone. Plus membership programs allow us to do really cool things with each site, such as inviting industry leaders to write for us. The Tuts+ sites simply wouldn’t be what they are without Plus.
Don’t worry, though. Some of you don’t have PayPal, and some of you don’t have much to spare. We’ll keep producing the same amount of free content as we always have done.
