I’ve got a question about a tutorial. Where’s the best place to get an answer?
Each tutorial has a comments section, for general feedback, questions and suggestions. If your question is broader than just a single tutorial, you can contact our support team, who’ll do their best to answer your question or put you in touch with the person who can.
I can't access a video, image or link in a tutorial. What's going on?
We've published more than 18,000 tutorials in the last seven years, and some images, videos and links might from time to time become unavailable. Let our support team know the URL of the tutorial and what's not working for you, and we'll do our best to find a solution.
What kinds of courses do you have?
We have a growing library of video courses covering topics such as web development, graphic and web design, photography, video, illustration, and drawing. We regularly add more courses, so if we don’t have quite what you’re looking for, sign up to receive email news, suggest or vote on course topics, and check back soon!
How do I purchase courses?
There are a couple of different options. You can purchase courses individually, buy bundles of courses, or subscribe to get access to courses, eBooks and other offers. You can purchase courses or subscriptions using credit card or PayPal.
Check out our pricing page for more information, or visit the overview of the course you want and click the 'Buy Course' button to start the payment process.
Once I’ve paid for a course or subscription, how do I start learning?
If you’ve purchased courses individually, follow these steps:
- Sign in to your Tuts+ account.
the icon at the top right of the page, and select My Courses from the options that appear.
- Browse the My Courses page to access all the courses you’ve purchased (as well as free courses you’ve started watching).
If you’ve subscribed to get access to a wide range of Tuts+ courses and eBooks, take your pick by browsing through our library.
Where do I find courses I’ve started watching previously?
Your My Courses page displays all the courses you’ve watched, so you can find them quickly and keep on learning!
How many times can I watch a course that I’ve purchased?
There is no limit to how many times you can watch your courses. If you’ve purchased an individual course, you’ll have unlimited access to it (unless we need to remove it from Tuts+ for some reason—more on that below). If you have a subscription, you’ll be able to watch the course as many times as you want, for the duration of your subscription.
Do the courses expire?
Courses do not have an expiration date. We try to provide you with long term access to your purchased courses. They’ll usually be available for at least 12 months – probably much longer. However, we can remove purchased courses at our discretion, for example if they become out of date or obsolete, or if we need to for legal or commercial reasons. We will take reasonable steps to give you notice if we are removing a course.
Can I download the course and watch it offline?
Yes, you can download individual lesson videos for any course that you have purchased, or for any course in our library if you are subscribed to the Yearly or Yearly Pro plans. Subscribers to the Monthly plan are not able to download videos. Fair use policies also apply.
Can I download project files for a course?
Yes, if you have access to a course (via purchase or any subscription plan), then you can download the relevant project source files.
What are the Terms & Conditions for Tuts+ Courses?
How do eBook credits work?
Tuts+ Yearly Subscriptions include credits to download up to 5 eBooks per month. Downloaded titles are added to My eBooks and the same eBook can be downloaded multiple times in multiple formats within the same calendar month and count as only one download. If the same eBook is downloaded again in a future calendar month it will count as a new download.
What are your payment plans and options?
Courses are available for individual purchase, as part of a bundle of six courses at a discounted price, or you can sign up for a subscription and get access to our entire range of courses, plus eBooks and other benefits. See our pricing page for more information.
Do you offer group memberships or student discounts?
We do! Get in touch to find out more information.
Can I try before I buy?
The first two videos of every course are available to preview for free, via the course overview page. Check out the unlocked videos to learn about the course, its subject matter and educational style. You’ll get a good feel for the instructor and what they’re here to teach.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Sure! If you'd rather not extend your subscription, go to the Subscription section of your account dashboard, and select 'Cancel Subscription'. You'll still have access to our courses and eBooks until your current subscription period runs out.
If you subscribed before the 13th of May, 2014 (via the Tuts+ Premium website) the process is a little different. In this case, subscription cancellation is handled through your payment provider.
- Log in to your PayPal account
- Click “Profile” at the end of the gray menu bar above your account information
- Click “My money”
- Click “Update” in the “My preapproved payments” section
- Click “Cancel”, “Cancel automatic billing”, or “Cancel subscription” on the item you want to cancel and follow the instructions.
Please email email@example.com to request cancellation of your recurring Tuts+ payment.
